BRODERICK BANCROFT: Founded in 1981 by Dan Broderick and Dan Bancroft, the firm began as a general law practice, including criminal defense, real estate and civil litigation. By the mid-1980’s, the firm began its concentration on representing owners and managers of subsidized housing, with representative clients throughout New England.
Over the next 30+ years, the firm grew, along with many of its clients, representing thousands of affordable housing units, including federal and state project-based subsidized properties, as well as Low Income Housing Tax Credit properties. The partners and their associates conducted training for clients and outside organizations on fair housing and landlord-tenant issues, and contributed articles to the Assisted Housing Management Insider newsletter.
Representative clients: Greater Boston Management, Inc. Maloney Properties, Inc. (represented since 1981), Rogerson Communities (represented since 1981), Newton Community Development Foundation, The Mackin Group, Barkan Management, Trinity Management, and formerly, State Street Development Management Corporation.
